Willed Body Program

The Willed Body Program allows individuals and/or their next of kin to donate their bodies for study by healthcare professionals at Prisma Health-Upstate and students at the UofSC School of Medicine Greenville. Our dedicated staff provide the guidance and support needed before and after death to ensure that a donor’s wishes are followed and that the utmost care is provided throughout the Program in which donor’s body is utilized for study.

Program Information

All donors whose bodies meet eligibility criteria will be designated for use by the Willed Body Program. Donors’ bodies will reside in the UofSC School of Medicine Greenville building on the campus of Prisma Health-Upstate Greenville Memorial Hospital. Any donor’s body that leaves the Prisma Health-Upstate Greenville Memorial Hospital campus will have a dedicated escort at all times. The Program will unequivocally honor a donor’s wishes.
